What I do if I have a shaft that I removed from another head
and the hosel is shorter on the
new head and there are scuff / glue marks or disfigured areas.
I use a short piece of "SHRINK TUBING" that you can
get at any local electrical supply house. It comes in a large
array of sizes and colors, colour for our Canadian members.
Just cut off a piece the length that you will require slip it
over the shaft tip, reinstall the head/shaft, let epoxy harden,
then pull down the piece of shrink tubing and apply "LOW
HEAT" until you get a VERY
nice looking cover.
